Mind you, my picture taking also involves Minolta, Casio, Lubitel and Nikon F/F2 cameras too so it may be a while.but hey.
#SHUTTER COUNTER NIKON SERIAL NUMBER#
I would have thought i've taken more though :) I love taking pointless photos.Ħ193 for my D200 serial number 4040487. I bought mine with just under 5000 on the count, probably up to around 8000 now if not more.Īround 17000 I think, for 1.5 years of ownership.Ĩ095 after 9 months. Don't know how many shots my D200 has got on the clock and I don't want to as I'd hate to start being conservative with my shots because I'm worrying about the mileage. Nikon actually tests the D200 for 100,000 actuations, while the D300 is supposed to be tested for 150,000. That's what I've used in the past to check up on shutter counts.

So I should get another year before I can justify that D700Īndross, are you referring to EXIF TOOL, it sounds like a good description of how that works.Īnother one would be KUSO EXIF VIEWER, and though i havent tried that, ive been told that it works differently. It's come up in one of the Nikon groups before as well (I think Nikon Digital).īought in December 2007 with approx 170 actuations - last time I checked I was up to about 30,000+ I forget the name, but I'm sure a simple google will turn it up. There's an EXIF program out there that is a command line prompt that lets you drag RAW files into the command prompt itself and it'll bring up all that data. If you use an Adobe product to process, it strips the data. Holy crap! I just checked mine and after 6 months I'm at 30,205(!!!)
#SHUTTER COUNTER NIKON PRO#
Its now out of the loft and in one of the bags in semi regular use along with an s5 pro that was stuck up there with it. You can probably imagine how shocked iwas when i realized how little mileage it had done, especially as i had worn out my previous d200. I actually put the damn thing in the loft along with a back up older d2 when i moved last year, so i virtually forgot about it. I better get cracking! I'm way behind! :)ĭoes it only work with jpeg shot from the camera? My jpeg converted raws doesn't seem to show it? ages ago I'm just about to 18000 :) And I've had mine for over 2 years now. More than 95,000 shots in two years without problem. Thought i better run it in and give my d2"s a rest. i hadnt used it much since getting it and until about 5 weeks ago it had only done 450 frames. I reckon mines the youngest, 1,289 actuations and just one year old. Seems like I have a very long way to go until the shutter dies on me. I bought my D200 as new on the 4th of December 2007 and I'm currently running at 5838 actuations.

I believe Nikon tested the D200's shutter life to be well in excess over 100k actuations.Īccording to this site, the D200's shutter lasts just over 150k on average.įrank Eleveld edited this topic ages ago.
#SHUTTER COUNTER NIKON PLUS#
I bought mine D200 used with around 18500 shots, plus i have done around 1500.

I bought mine last week as a secondhand from Henry's and it only has 9736 XD it was a great deal too! Pangalactic gargleblaster and the heart of gold says: There are also various EXIF readers out there (Adobe doesn't show it). If you upload an untouched jpg to Flickr from your camera, you can find it that way (it's a section along the lines of 'total number of shutter releases' or something). How do you find that info on how many you have?Īndrew Hefter need to go into the EXIF. I should start taking more pictures so I can have it serviced before my warranty runs out! I bought mine about 2 years ago and the last picture I uploaded says it was # 21294 So I've got several more years to go I imagine =p I'm only at about 25k though, even after 25 months. I wouldn't be surprised if most people have gotten to 150k without issues though.
